HALL OF FAME
The Shawnee Heights High School Hall of Fame has been established to recognize graduates and past staff members for achievement in one of three areas: personal and/or professional life, community service, and/or the demonstration of education as a lifelong experience. Candidates must either be a graduate of Shawnee Heights High School 10+ years prior to nomination or a former staff member of SHHS.
Project Managers
This project is managed and organized by the Shawnee Heights High School Renaissance Club.
Inaugural Members
Dr. Grace (Dexter) Morrison (’66) and former science teacher Paul Willis were inducted into the SHHS Hall of Fame in 2007. The program stalled for several years before being reinstated during the 2015-16 school year.
Recognition
Honorees will be recognized during a school ceremony held annually. Recipients will also have a framed picture added to the Hall of Fame in the South Wing commons area.
Selection Process
A committee made up of students, faculty, staff, and alumni will select graduates and/or former staff for annual recognition. Nominations are accepted on an ongoing basis but must be received at least sixty days prior to that year’s induction ceremony for immediate consideration. Once a person is nominated, his/her application remains on file indefinitely.
