Today is pajama day. Students need to bring a pair of athletic shoes for recess and PE.
Tuesday is favorite athlete/sport day.
Wednesday is hat day.
Thursday is dress like a teacher day.
Friday is PTO field trip t-shirt day.

❤️TSOUTH FAMILY TIME!! Today we had our first TSouth family time of the year. This is designed to not only contribute to the personal growth of each student, but also the overall culture of respect and understanding within your school.
Family groups are the same each year, except when 6th graders leave at the end of the year, we then add the new PreK and K students.
This is a favorite day each month for all involved 🩵

❤️💙⚽️ We had a few members of the Shawnee Heights boys soccer team visit this morning. They helped greet our students, welcomed everyone at morning assembly, and stayed a bit to join 5th grade PE class.
Tonight is ELEMENTARY NIGHT at their home game. JV starts at 4:30 and Varsity at 6PM. Elementary students get to walk onto the field with players during varsity introductions.
Tomorrow, they have a free mini clinic for Grades K-6 at Bettis, 5:30-6PM

🎨For the first art project of the year, every 1st-6th Grade student created a self-portrait! Students were asked to only use their FAVORITE color when coloring in their self portrait so we could then put it together in a GIANT school 🌈 Which turned out AH-MAZINGGGGG!

📚Tecumseh South Book Fair is Friday, September 20th! 📘
✋🏽 One of the PreK jobs is to greet the other students in class. We say “Good Morning”. Then each student chooses a high five, knuckle bump or wave!
🍏 Preschool did an apple taste test! They tasted red, yellow and green apples & explored the different parts of an apple.

It's a great morning for two! Love that our district offers intramurals. It's a great way to introduce different sports to kids and promotes teamwork.
🎉 What an awesome first day of the STANGS water bottle and sticker fundraiser! The $5 special was a hit- 1 water bottle and 6 stickers! STANGS club will be set up again tomorrow and Friday during morning assembly

Cheer on the T-Birds as they face DeSoto on Tuesday, September 17th. The JV game starts at 4:30, and the Varsity game starts at 6:00.
Students will receive:
· Free game entry with a paid adult
· Free goodie bag and team poster
· Walk on the field with Varsity players during game introductions
· Be there by 5:45 and meet at the North end of the field by the goodie bag table to line up with the players.
We will have food trucks and a great crowd!
Come back to Bettis Sports Center on Wednesday, September 18th, to train with the T-Birds at our first Mini Kicker Clinic! The clinic will be held from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm and is absolutely free to district students!
STANGS Club water bottle and stickers sale starts on Wednesday during morning assembly. The funds will go towards the 6th grade end of year party and other student activities.

Our PTO and Shively Farm put together an amazing fall event for our families.We are open until 6:00 at 58th and Croco.
Wristbands and tickets can be purchased at the gate. An $8 wristband is all you need to play all day. Tickets for a few activities can be purchased for $1.
😍💙 Our 6th graders started their D.A.R.E program today. Every year, we partner with the Shawnee County Sheriffs Department in this educational program designed to equip our students with life skills for resisting peer pressure to experiment with tobacco, drugs, and alcohol.
